At the beginning of the month we made our way to Golden Ears Provincial Park to start off our summer with a little camping trip. At 62,540 hectares it is one of the largest parks in the province and offers a huge range of recreational activities. The popular Alouette Lake is located in the park and is great for swimming, windsurfing, water-skiing, canoeing, boating and fishing. Along with these activities, Alouette Lake is also well known for its campgrounds. Luckily for us for we got to the campgrounds early enough to be 7th in line and eventually managed to snag two neighbouring sites. After the tarps were up and the tents were set, the pressure was off and we were finally able to settle in.
